Do it for Pie: Bike Packing the Black Canyon Trail

The Black Canyon Trail stretches 70 miles from Mayor, AZ to Carefree Highway outside of Phoenix. Myself and 2 companions, Alex and Charlie, traveled the trail over Saturday December 17 and Sunday December 18th. (image via: bikepacking.com) The BCT, best traveled in the late fall thru early spring, consists of an uninterrupted single track route which skirts alongside the i-17 north of Phoenix, Arizona. The view of the Bradshaw mountains to the west paired with the breathtaking views of the Sonoran Desert keep you company along the roughly 70-mile ride.
